You’ve got potatoes on the menu, right?

Not exactly.

For those of you who are just getting into potato skins, here’s how to do it without having to go hungry.

It’s the best of both worlds.


You can add a handful of potatoes to your salad.

This is what you’ll be adding to your potato skins.


Use the skins to add crunch.

Add some chopped walnuts, cilantro, or a drizzle of soy sauce to the potatoes to add a nice crunchy flavor.


Make the skin sauce with your favorite spices.

For this recipe, I used ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and turmeric to add some kick.


You could use a potato-flavored pasta sauce to add extra kick.

For the recipe, we used a mixture of tomato paste, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil.


Make your potato sauce with a little extra cream.

The potato skins can be topped with the same amount of cream, but you can add some extra cream for a nice creaminess to the sauce.


Serve your potato skin sauce at a party.

Or, you can top your potato soup with it and have a party in your honor.


Mix it up with potato chips.

I added a little bit of pepper to the skins of the potatoes for some added kick.


Eat potato skins as a side dish.

You’ll have the perfect topping for any dinner.


Serve the skins over rice.

The skin sauce adds a crunch to your rice noodles, and the potato chips add a delicious flavor to your steamed rice.


And of course, enjoy potato skins in a salad.
